The training program designed to equip marine engineers the principles of resource management, the understanding of the proper utilization and considerations given to resources available in a maritime engine department, the technical and non-technical skills associated in engine room duties, the interaction between team members, and decision-making. It also aims to increase knowledge about human capabilities and limitations, and to safeguard positive attitudes to safety, situational and cultural diversity awareness.
Those who will complete this course will be able to demonstrate understanding of the management principles and accepted leadership styles, efficiently use resources and delegation, and demonstrate methodical and logical approach to fault diagnosis identify cause of problems and provide timely correct response
