The course complies with STCW, Chapter VIII, Part 3-1 of the non-mandatory “Code B” guidance on keeping a navigational watch and suggests shipping companies take initiative in implementing Bridge Resource Management concept on their vessels BRM also satisfies the USCG requirements of 46 CFR 10.205 (o)
This course provides the maritime personnel necessary enhancement of skills in the effective management and utilization of all human and technical resources for the Bridge Team to ensure high standard of safety in the management of vessel. This would also provide masters and navigating officers’ awareness and guidance of good operating practices by regular use of sound and proper procedures to ensure the safety of the ship, its personnel, cargo and protection of the environment.
