ISPS Code/SOLAS Chapter 11-1/STCW 95 as amended Table A-VI/5
This course will provide the trainee an overview of The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code. This aims to discuss the functional security requirements for ships and port facilities, and assess risks involve and the appropriate security measures to take in various situations.
At the end of this training, the participants will have gained knowledge on security activities such as:
Knowledge of restricted areas
Monitoring deck areas and areas surrounding the ship
Controlling the embarkation of personnel and their effects
Controlling access to all area of the ship in accordance with security plans
Monitoring restricted areas to ensure that only authorized persons have access
Ensuring that security protocols are set and communications is readily available
Supervising the handling of cargo, baggage, ship’s stores and equipment
Understanding the Declaration of Security
Understanding the Ship Security Plan
Knowledge of Security Threats Terrorist Profile Recognition of Behavioral Pattern that Affects Security Ship Security
